Web Players and Plug-ins
Up-to-date web players are necessary to view content in online courses and any external sites that the online course may use. As a result, the University requires that you download and install the most recent version of each web player and plug-in.
Adobe/Macromedia Acrobat, Flash, Shockwave and Authorware Players – Allows you to view interactive movies created within the .pdf, .swf, .dcr, and .aam formats.
JS2E Sun Java Plug-in/Player – Java software allows you to run applications called “applets” that are written in the Java programming language. These applets allow you to do a number of things from playing online games and chatting with people around the world to calculating your mortgage interest or viewing images in 3D. Corporations also use applets for intranet applications and e-business solutions.
QuickTime Player – Windows Minimum Requirements: A Pentium processor-based PC or compatible computer, at least 128 MB of RAM, and Windows 2000/XP.
